Elite Care Seed Saving Workshop! - Saturday, September 25th, 10:30am – 12pm
Historically, humans have benefited from an extraordinary diversity of plant species and cultivars. Seed saving encourages this diversity, preserves a tradition of cultivating heirloom gardens and allows an opportunity to share your garden legacy with a neighbor or the extended community.
Please join us in the Cascade building for a hands-on learning experience of this relatively easy and satisfying process!
· Various edible crops and beneficial garden flowers will be introduced.
· Learn proper timing and techniques for successful germination rates!
· Discover seed saving materials from the “high-tech” to basic items found in your own kitchen.
Have you wondered how you could get some help in dealing with a loved one who has dementia when he or she exhibits aggressive behaviours? How can you best re-direct and giving you some coping tools.
Dr. Elizabeth Eckstrom, who runs the OHSU Geriatrics Clinic will spend 2 hours with us to give us information on this subject, that will be helpful in your every day life when dealing with a loved one who has dementia.
